Postcard – Multi-Colour Zandile Tshabalala When We See Us A5
$3.50
Zandile Tshabalala (born 1999) lives and works in Soweto, Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2021 she received the Kaiserring grant from the Moenchehaus Museum Goslar. Her works have been seen in exhibitions in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Great Britain and Germany.
Zandile Tshabalala postcard from the new exhibition titled `When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting’. Artists explore different themes, including that of `Repose’. Lounging, hands locked behind our heads, relishing the peace that comes with being still, we rest, unwind and indulge. Fully reclined, sinking into soft plush sofas, limbs stretched out, there is no rush as we revel in idleness. When in solitude, we sit, stare, dream, introspect.
A5 postcard.
